Chapter Philanthropy

The Epsilon Kappa Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta is excited to bring Autism Speaks to the Western Kentucky University community! Autism Speaks, the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, announced, in September of 2016, that Alpha Xi Delta women's fraternity has raised more than $5 million for Autism Speaks. Autism Speaks is dedicated to increasing awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) by funding research of the causes, prevention, and treatments, and to advocate for the needs of individuals and their families. Our main goals are to spread awareness and raise money for research for Autism Speaks. This past fall the Epsilon Kappa Chapter held their sixth annual Football FrenXi flag football tournament benefiting Autism Speaks! Thirteen fraternities and five sororities came out to the intramural fields to support us! Also, this Spring, Epsilon Kappa held the first annual Blue Tie Affair benefiting Autism Speaks. It was a wonderful evening with over 300 guests, live music, dinner, silent auction, guest speakers and over $22,000 raised for Autism Speaks! In addition our sisters participate in Walk Now for Autism Speaks in Nashville, TN every fall. We also participated in the annual Light It Up Blue and will do this again each Spring.
