Alpha Xi Delta’s Philanthropic Focus

The Kindly Hearts Initiative

The Kindly Hearts Initiative serves as the umbrella to our national philanthropic focus of supporting children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. Alpha Xi Deltas across the country support two Key Impact Organizations, FosterClub and StandUp for Kids, making a national and regional difference under the umbrella of our focus.

Letters of Love

All Alpha Xi Delta chapters and alumnae associations participate in Letters of Love, Alpha Xi Delta’s national letter writing fundraising campaign. Held annually during the month of November this campaign benefits Alpha Xi Delta’s two Key Impact Organizations, StandUp for Kids and FosterClub.

Our Chapter's Impact:

In May of 2022 Alpha Xi Delta decided to continue forward with the Kindly Hearts Initiative, after devoting our philanthropic efforts to the Kindly Hearts Campaign this past year. The Kindly Hearts Initiative focuses on supporting children and teens that are experiencing foster care or homlessness. Throughout this next year of service, Alpha Xi Delta will be focused on supporting children and teenagers that are experiencing foster care or homelessness. Nationally, Alpha Xi Delta members participate in Letters of Love, a national letter-writing campaign that benefits key impact organizations making a national difference in supporting children and teenagers experiencing foster care or homelessness. On the local level, Epsilon Kappa will be focused on collaborating with local organizations through the Kindly Hearts Initiative to make a positive impact in our local and campus community.

We will host our annual philanthropy events which are, Kicks For a Cause and Blue Tie Affair. Kicks for a Cause is a soccer tournament that other greek organizations will play in to support and raise money for the Bowling Green Boys and Girls Club. Blue Tie Affair is a silent auction and dinner that we sell tickets for. This is one of our most successful events. This past year we raised over $39,000 at Blue Tie Affair.

Please feel free to contact our Philanthropy Vice President for any questions you may have!
